Practicable Solutions

Many People think they can’t do anything because if they do they will lose too much. Well this is not true. You can reduce the GHGs without sacrificing things that really count. I will discuss what you can do with your fridge to solve the increase in GHGs. One of the actions is increasing the performance of your fridge by placing it in a cool environment. This will save up to 150 kg CO2 per year. Further action is replacing your old fridge because the old fridges are much less energy-efficient than today's Energy Star models, this can save you over 227 Kg CO2 per year. Or buy one with automatic defrost cycles you will save about 210 kg CO2 per year. Also letting hot food cool down to room temperature before putting it in the fridge this will save about 6 kg CO2 per year. Another action is cleaning your refrigerator's coils, defrost regularly and keep the top clear of clutter, you can save over 318 Kg CO2 per year.
